Privacy Policy

orbi.jobs is operated by Orbi the Alien LLC. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

orbi.jobs is built on a core principle: your profile is private by default. Your current employer will never see your profile unless you explicitly make it visible to them.

We collect information you provide directly when creating a profile:

• Name, email address, and location
• Current job title, employer, and department
• Skills and years of experience
• Salary expectations and work preferences
• Profile photo (optional)
• Companies you add to your block list

We also collect standard technical data when you use our service, including IP address, browser type, and usage logs.

• To create and display your profile to recruiters (only when you set yourself as visible)
• To enforce your block list, ensuring blocked companies never see your profile
• To display your profile to recruiters, provided they are not from or representing a company on your block list
• To improve the platform and fix bugs
• To communicate service updates

We do not sell your personal data. Ever.

Companies you add to your block list are prevented from viewing your profile on orbi.jobs. This applies to every recruiter account of that company, including variants of its name. Your current employer is automatically blocked when you complete onboarding.

This is enforced at the data layer. Blocked companies receive no information about your existence on the platform.

Recruitment agencies have their own accounts and may see your profile even if they recruit for a company you have blocked. Our Terms for Companies and Recruiters forbid agencies and recruiters from revealing that you are on orbi.jobs, or anything about your profile, to any employer, client or other third party, and we suspend accounts that break this rule.

When a company or recruiter signs up, we collect the recruiter's name, job title, work email and (optionally) LinkedIn profile, and the company's name, website, industry, size, headquarters and (optionally) LinkedIn page. We use this to verify the company before it gets access to candidates, to run the account and to contact you about it.

To protect candidates, we log recruiter activity on the platform (searches, profile views and contact reveals) and use it to detect and prevent misuse. Recruiters who contact candidates handle that data under their own responsibility, as set out in our Terms for Companies and Recruiters.

Your data is stored securely on cloud infrastructure hosted in the United States. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

We use the following third-party service providers to operate orbi.jobs. These providers process data only as necessary to deliver our service and are bound by appropriate data processing agreements.

• Supabase: database and authentication, hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States
• Google OAuth: optional sign-in method
• Netlify: hosting and deployment

These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your data

You can delete your account at any time from your Settings page. All your data will be permanently removed.
